We are handcrafting these rods using the Rainshadow RX8+ High Modulus/High Stain-Carbon Fiber Tournament Performance Quality Rod Blanks in Black Satin and adding ALPS Titanium/Zirconium XY “Low Carbon Steel” Guides, a TiCH Hinged Hook Keeper and FIVE piece exclusive Custom turned/hand sanded installing 3 Burlwood Accents, a Reel Seat and a Butt Cap with a Split Cork Grip or Straight Cork handle, finished using premium winding-thread/Trim Rings and a Clear Coat of epoxy! The Casting Rod will have an ALPS Marine Grade Anodized Black Aluminum “Blank Exposed Reel Seat” and a Dark Earth-Tone Burlwood Butt Cap.

This is our Thunder Bolt Musky Trolling Styx Handcrafted on a Rainshadow RX8 Titanium Chrome Extra Heavy Musky Rod with a “Dual Trigger” to give the angler the advantage!

When using the Rainshadow GPX (Matte Grey) Rod Blanks we use the dark coloured Trigger Seats!

Further to this we designed Spinning Rods with CNC Anodized Aluminum Marine Grade Reel Seats!

This rod doesn’t have the CNC  Spinnning Reel Seat!

However the Master Rod Builder is working on the Proto Type which will be photographed and added to this blog post very soon! We Are calling them Solar Eclipse in Silver and Lunar Eclipse using the black Reel Seats. Walleye and Bass actions!

 

This next photo is probably my most impressive design to date!

 This design has three Custom Burlwood Accents, the Reel Seat insert as well as the Butt Cap in Burlwood hand built on North America’s Highest Caliber Rainshadow RX8+ Rod Blank!

Made of High Modulus Graphite and Carbon Fiber Scrim Cloth! We used ALPS-VS3 Triple Bridge Ti-Gold single foot Spinning Guides! Nothing was left out of this rod! Simply, Beyond Compare!

We built six of these High Caliber Casting Styx 7’2″-one piece, with Blank Exposed Zebrawood Trigger Real Seats last year and sold them all in one month! $499.95 They are, also built on the Rainshadow RX8+ Super Rod Blanks! They were all sold in a month!

The BACKWOODS Flippin/Pitchin Styx 7’6″ Extendable is by

far our most popular selling Tournament Bass Fishing Rods!

We build two Extendable models, one with Straight Guides and a straight handle and the other with a Spiral configuration that eliminates Tip Top looping with a Split Cork handle.

We are up scaling both of these models for 2012 and we are enhancing the original design by adding an ALPS Precision Marine Grade CNC Anodized Aluminum “Dual” Trigger Casting Reel Seat! Shown above!

The Black Dual Trigger will be found on the Rod that has the Straight Guides/Handle and Spiral/Split Cork Handle will have the Silver Dual Trigger Reel Seat to be able to tell them apart! We will continue to use the Rainshadow RX7-GPX High Modulus Graphite Premium Rod Blanks!

All other Gerry Pigeon Signature Casting Series Rods will have ALPS Marine Grade Anodized Aluminum “Dual Blank Exposed” Trigger Reel Seats in Pale Gold, Black, Dark Titanium, Cobalt Blue and Silver matched with the Rainshadow RX7-Matte Grey and the Rainshadow RX8 in Titanium Chrome.

 This reel seat is available on our Bull Dawg CNC Casting Series. Although it is very similar in design to what we will have. The Trigger Reel Seat will have two Blank Exposed ergonomic finger ports.(Blank Exposed)

Our best example of a what’s in store for 2012 is, the BACKWOODS Jantzen Supreme CFX Rods Custom Burlwood Reel Seats, Accents and Butt Caps.

As an added touch we are inserting a Canadian nickel,(Beaver Side Facing Out) into the butt cap to assist as a “Counter Balance” weight. Held in place using bonding glue and a coating of clear epoxy. A simple reminder of the year the rod was built!
